| PURPOSE |
| To provide the LCAC navigator with the necessary information, skill development and practical application on High Speed Radar Navigation, tactical maneuvering and communication techniques necessary for LCAC operation. |
| SCOPE |
| This course consists of 155 hours LCAC classroom instruction to include Rules of the Road, Navigation Systems and Operation, NAVSTAR Global Position System Operation and Communication Equipment Operation. This course also consists of 195 hours of LCAC Full Mission Trainer (FMT) training and actual LCAC systems operation. |
| PREREQUISITES |
| Must fully qualified for special duty in accordance with the Manual of the Medical Department (NAVMED P117). Successfully completed the Naval Aeroscope Medical Research Laboratory (NAMRL) LCAC Operator Psychomotor Test at ACU-4/ACU-5. Must be qualified second-class swimmer in accordance with SEAOPS Vol II. SECOND CLASS SWIMMER MUST BE DOCUMENTED IN STUDENT ORDERS. MUST be eligible for SECRET CLEARANCE. ASVAB AR+MK+EI+CS = 204. Paygrade E5-E7 in the Rate OS or QM. |
