INDEPENDANT DEPLOYER ACADEMIC TRAINING

|Attendees from each deploying ship are delineated via Naval Message.|
|Provide independent deploying units with a basic knowledge of concepts, terms, organizations, and planning considerations related to Maritime Engagement and Crisis Response operations.
Present participants with the U.S. perspective relative to Maritime Engagement and Crisis Response in general, and Foreign Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief (FHA/DR), Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) missions, and Noncombatant Evacuation Operations (NEO) in particular.
Familiarize students with duties of units that may be involved in conducting, planning, or supporting for Foreign Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief (FHA/DR), Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) missions, and Noncombatant Evacuation Operations (NEO).
|IDAT is a four-day course that is collaboratively presented by Expeditionary Training Group, Atlantic and Tactical Training Group, Atlantic and includes warfare and maritime security operations; humanitarian assistance and disaster relief; and operational planning topics. This TPP covers that portion which is taught by Expeditionary Training group, Atlantic.
The course will include: Organization and operation of the United States Department of State. Joint and service doctrine to include instruction related to Maritime Engagement, particularly Theater Security Cooperation missions such as Global Partnership Station deployments, and Crisis Response, specifically FHA/DR and DEO. Organization and operation of United States Agency for International Development.
Course offerings will be scheduled by Commander Strike Force Training, Atlantic during independent deployer lockdown conferences and announced to all concerned partied in an independent deployer academic training convening message.
