|FY 2017 SCHEDULE|
|To provide formal training to entry level and lateral move Marines in the skills and responsibilities required of MOS 0511, MAGTF Planning Specialist.|
|This course provides MAGTF Planning Specialists training in the responsibilities and functional support duties in the areas of Force Deployment Planning and Execution (FDP&E). Primary duties are operating force deployment plan-ning systems; assisting in the Marine Corps Planning Process
Process (MCPP), updating plan and unit information for force deployment planning, properly formatting and
forwarding electronic mail and conference message traffic, refining force deployment data to unit level detail and knowledge of force deployment/redeployment and execution procedures. The MAGTF Planning Specialist will develop basic knowledge of the various force deployment planning systems and force planning requirements.
|Prerequisites: (per the MOS Manual):
"Entry level enlisted Marines in the grade of Pvt (E-1) to LCpl (E-3) and lateral move Marines in the grade of Cpl (E-4) with a GT score of 110 or higher. Entry-level students must be U.S. citizens and eligible for a Top Secret (TS) security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) predicated on a completed Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). Marines conducting lateral move to the 0511 MOS must possess an adjudicated Secret security clearance. Upon favorable recommendation from MOS screening interview, lateral move request Marines are required to submit an application for a Top Secret security clearance prior to attending the MAGTF Planner Basic Course. Students arriving with Interim Secret security clearances will not be allowed to complete the training."
LATMOVE Marines must come with their activated government charge card or a pay advance.

Security clearance verification can be forwarded to the EWTGLANT Security Manager via FAX using command letterhead or OPNAV Form 5521/27 at DSN: 253-7252 or COMM: 757-462-7252, or via message addressed to EWTGLANT NORFOLK VA/NOOX/.
Security clearance verification must contain the following information: full name; rank, grade, or rate; date and place of birth; social security number; citizenship of proposed student; name and address of the activity to be visited; date and duration of the proposed visit; security clearance of proposed visitor, investigation type, date of investigation; and phone number and verifying signature of the Security Manager (if Faxed).
