Fleet Synthetic Training

PURPOSE
Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) events are computer assisted exercise provided during Unit Level Training Phase. Exercises are provide in all warfare areas and are available for unit is the development, maintenance and proficiency to provide mastery for those skills prior to participating in Strike Group events and deployment.
SCOPE
Training exercises are conducted using Models and Simulations (JSAF, MTWS, and JCATS) to stimulate/simulate the real world command and control systems (GCCS-M, TBMCS, AFATDS, JADOCS, PCMDS, COMPOSE, IOS V1, IOS V2, IOW and PFPS) which allow small units to develop operator level proficiency and validation of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures prior to participation of real world operations or Joint Training Events.
SCHEDULING
The Joing Expeditionary Tactical Trainer (JETT) can be scheduled by contacting the Operations Officer at
Comm (757) 462-4459, DSN 253-4459 and email. The JETT provides integrated simulation and command, control, communications, computer, collaboration, and intelligence (C5I) systems support to operational commanders and their staffs to enhance the effectiveness of their training and improve their expeditionary war fighting capabilities. The JETT employs real world C5I systems, to include GCCS-4 4.0, C2PC, IOS/IOW 4.1, SIPRNET/COMPOSE 3.0, CENTRIX 3.0, AFATDS 6.4, ADOCS, PCMDS, EMT, NFCS and TBMCS 1.1.3 (host capability), stimulated by a modeling and simulation (M&S) backbone (JSAF 3.2, MTWS 3.3, JCATS 7.1). The JETT facility replicates expeditionary and fires command and control (C2) capabilities to provide a realistic training environment for a TACRON, PHIBRON, MEU, ESG and JTF staffs and fires elements. The JETT is capable of supporting multi-tier, distributed training through its scalable and flexible network architecture. It is interoperable with joint exercise and experimentation simulation federations and the joint national training capability via the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) tier 2 architecture. The JETT also houses the prototype for the Multi-purpose Supporting Arms Training (MSAT).
