Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Professional Development Center (NMOPDC) in Gulfport, Miss., is the full-spectrum source for professional training in meteorology, oceanography, hydrography, and geospatial information.
PDC personnel are responsible for more than 150 courses of instruction delivered via several means including computer-based-training, instructor-led formal courses, online weather courses, as well as courses offered via Navy Knowledge Online.
To meet current resource allotment, we have taken a modern day, statistical approach to realign our training initiatives to meet very specific Navy and Joint operation needs.
To provide training and education to Department of Navy and Joint METOC professionals on the current and predicted physical environment to enable decision superiority across the full range of military operations.
