Commanding Officer
Captain Paul Oosterling is the Commanding Officer of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO). Originally from Ontario, N.Y., he graduated from Florida Institute of Technology in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in Oceanography and was commissioned through Officer Candidate School, Newport, R.I., in 1987. Technical Director
Thomas Cuff is the twelfth technical director of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO). Prior to this position, Mr. Cuff served as the Naval Oceanography program's Pacific Theater program manager, collocated with Commander, Task Force 73, in Singapore. There, he was responsible to the Commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (COMNAVMETOCCOM), for the planning and execution of cooperative programs in operational hydrography, oceanography and meteorology in the western Pacific and Indian Ocean regions. Executive Officer
Captain A. J. Reiss is the Executive Officer of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO). A native of Akron, Ohio, Capt. Reiss graduated with distinction from the United States Navy Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Oceanography in 1990. He earned a Master of Science in Air and Ocean Sciences from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif. in 2000. (click photo for full bio)
