How can an ombudsman help me?
An ombudsman is here to answer any questions you may have (big or small). If you have concerns or worries, do not hesitate to call your ombudsman. If your ombudsman does not have the answer, they will try to find you the resources that do.
Ombudsman can help you find lending lockers (to make camping out while you wait for your personal belongings to arrive a little easier), child care resources, job training, volunteer opportunities and financial support - to name but a few. Ombudsmen are here to help and to make your life a little easier.
How do I contact you?
Will what I tell you be communicated to my sailor or the Command Leadership?
All information communicated to the ombudsman is CONFIDENTIAL. However, if the topic or information that you are communicating falls into one of the reportable categories, then the Command leadership will be notified. The decision of how the Command handles the information and whether the sailor is notified, is at their discretion.
