  LIEUTENANT COMMANDER

TAYLOR R. FORESTER

UNITED STATES NAVY 

LCDR Forester, a native of Electra, Texas, graduated from Grantham University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies.  He is a former enlisted Sailor and obtained the rank of Information Systems Technician Chief.  He received his commissioning through the Limited Duty Officer program in June 2001, and his first tour as an officer was on the USS NIMITZ (CVN-68) as the Exterior/Interior Communications Maintenance Division Officer. 

Following his tour aboard USS NIMITZ, he transferred to Commander Naval Air Pacific and served as the Information Assurance Officer.  After serving two years as the Commander Naval Air Pacific Information Assurance Officer, he was assigned to the USS RONANLD REAGAN (CVN 76) as a Tactical Action Officer, Combat Systems Maintenance Division Officer, and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Officer.

From August 2007 to August 2010 he completed a Joint tour assignment at European Command Head Quarters in Stuttgart, Germany.  As a staff officer at European Command Headquarters he stood up several Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System network nodes, and coalition networks throughout the European Command Area of Responsibility supporting Multi-Coalition Forces Iraq.

Following his tour at European Command in October 2010, he transferred back to USS RONALD REGAN (CVN 76) as the Combat Systems Information Officer where he conducted pre-deployment workups in the RONALD REAGAN Strike Group, performed Humanitarian Assistance in support of Operation Tomadachi, deployed to the Fifth fleet AOR, and lead the Combat Systems Information Systems branch through a one-year docked post deployment in-port availability.  During this tour aboard USS RONALD REAGAN he laterally transferred from the Limited Duty Officer Community to the Information Professional Community in May 2012.

LCDR Forester wears the Joint Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal Six Gold Stars and Navy Achievement Medal Five gold stars as well as multiple service medals.
