Santiago Martinez Rodriguez
LCDR Santiago Martinez Rodriguez was born and raised in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico. In 1998 he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberals Arts, with a Major in Labor Relations and a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico. In October 1998 he enlisted in the United States Navy and served 3 years earning the rank of Aerographer’s Mate Second Class until selected for commissioning in 2002 as a Surface Warfare Officer. In June 2005 he re-designated as an Information Professional Officer, and in 2006 earned a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from American Intercontinental University. In 2010 he completed Joint Professional Military Education Level 1. He currently serves as the Executive Officer at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, San Diego.
LCDR Martinez Rodriguez’ past duty assignments include Commander Task Force Five One N6A Communications Officer at Bahrain, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group One N6 Department Head, OPNAV N2/N6 staff, Commander Pacific Fleet N6 staff, Naval Meteorological Office at NAS Jacksonville OPS staff, as well as a tour as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq with Multi National Corps Iraq J6 staff. He has served on the USS John F. Kennedy (CV-47) CISO, USS Boone (FFG-28) COMMO/AUXO, USS Samuel B. Roberts (FFG-58) Asst. ORDO, and USS Ticonderoga (CG-47), ASW div.
LCDR Martinez Rodriguez is qualified as an Information Dominance Corps warfare, a Basic and Intermediate Information Professional, and a Surface Warfare Officer. His awards include four Navy Commendation medals, one Joint Commendation medal, and two Navy Achievement Medals.
