A native of Connecticut, CDR Bibeau entered the delayed enlistment program in March 1984 and attended boot camp and Data Processing “A” school in San Diego, California. He was initiated as a Chief Petty Officer aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) in 1995 and commissioned as a Data Processing Limited Duty Officer in November 1996.
Bibeau’s operational tours include USS Shenandoah (AD 44), USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63), Commander, U.S. Fifth Fleet, Multi National Forces, Iraq, and USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76).
Other tours include Navy Regional Data Automation Center, Norfolk; Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station, Atlantic; Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station, Europe; Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Naples; and North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command.
Personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy Achievement Medal (four awards), Navy Good Conduct Award (three awards) and numerous unit and campaign awards.
