OFFICER IN CHARGE

Lieutenant Commander Davis was born in Vancouver, Washington.  After advancing to Chief Petty Officer, he earned his commission through the Limited Duty Officer Program.

Following Officer Indoctrination School, Lieutenant Commander Davis served a 37-month tour aboard the USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN-72) as the ship's Automated Information Systems Officer.  His prior sea tours include ship's company assignments aboard USS TARAWA (LHA-1), USS ENTERPRISE (CVN-65) and USS PROTEUS (AS-19).  His most recent sea tour was aboard the USS BELLEAU WOOD (LHA-3), where he served as Deputy C5I Officer and led his department to earn the only Command and Control Battle Efficiency recognition for Pacific Fleet large deck amphibious ships for 2004.

Prior to serviing in his current position, Lieutenant Commander Davis served as Deputy C5I Systems Director for Commander Underseas Surveillance.  Lieutenant Commander Davis' other shore assignments include tours of duty serving Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic Detactment Rota Spain, North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Space Command, Space and Systems Warfare Systems Center Detactment San Diego, Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station New Orleans, and Computer Sciences School at the Marine Corps Combat Development Command in Quantico, Virginia.

Lieutenant Commander Davis holds a Masters of Science degree in Computer Information Systems Management from Regis University and a Global Information Assurance Certification for Security Leadership.  His awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal with two gold stars, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with three gold stars, Good Conduct Medal with three bronze stars, and other campaign and service awards.
