CMDCM Augustine C. Mark, USN
Master Chief Mark, a native of the Spice Island Grenada in the Eastern Caribbean, graduated from Boys & Girls High School in Brooklyn, New York, and joined the Navy in August 1988.
He completed basic training in Great Lakes, IL and reported to AMH “A” School in October 1988. His first assignment was with Strike Fighter Squadron One Zero Six (VFA-106) in Jacksonville Florida.
Other shore duty assignments included: Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron TWO (VQ-2), Rota Spain, and Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Command Detachment New River (NATEC), Jacksonville North Carolina.
Sea tours include Strike Fighter Squadron ONE NINE FIVE (VFA-195), Atsugi, Japan, Strike Fighter Squadron EIGHT TWO (VFA-82), Jacksonville, Florida, Strike Fighter Squadron TWO SEVEN (VFA-27), Atsugi, Japan, Strike Fighter Squadron ONE NINE Two (VFA-192), Atsugi, Japan and Strike Fighter Squadron THREE ONE (VFA-31) onboard Aircraft Carriers USS INDEPENDENCE CV-62, USS AMERICA CV-66, USS GEORGE WASHINGTON CVN-73, USS KITTY HAWK CV-63 and USS GEORGE H.W BUSH CVN-77.
In June 2012 he reported aboard Naval Telecommunications Station, Far East in Yokosuka Japan and assumed the duties as Command Master Chief.
Master Chief Mark’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (seven awards), Good Conduct Medal (six awards), and numerous other campaign and unit awards.
