ITC(SW/AW) Cache' Hapner
Born into a military family, ITC was raised in Vale, NC. She attended IT “A” School and transferred to her first duty assignment the USS Germantown LSD 42, Sasebo Japan in February 2001. During her qualifications onboard the USS Germantown there was a hull swap with the USS Harpers Ferry LSD 49 in August 2002.
Upon advancement to Petty Officer Third Class, she assumed duties as LAN System Administrator in 2002. September, 2003 she was advanced to IT2. IT2 Craig’s professionalism directly contributed to her selection as USS Harpers Ferry Junior Sailor of the year and then as COMPHIBGRU One’s Junior Sailor of the Year.
In August, 2004, Petty Officer Craig reported for duty onboard the USS John C Stennis (CVN 74) attached with VAQRON 139, homeport Whidbey Island, Washington. While onboard USS John Stennis, Petty Officer Craig assumed the responsibility as Leading Petty Officer of Operations Division. July, 2006 IT2 did a deployment onboard the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) out of San Diego CA. Upon Completion of their Westpac in 2006 IT2 volunteered to do an IA in Al Assad Iraq to assist in the development of a permanent hanger for future deployable squadrons and support MAG-16 USMC Battalion. Upon completion of her IA and Westpac Deployment she was selected as Commander, Electronic Attack Wing, Pacific (CVWP) IT Prowler of the Year.
IT2 arrived at Information Dominance Corry Station, Pensacola June, 2007, here she qualified as an Instructor, Master Training Specialist, was the LPO and ran the Battalion Operations supporting 830 newly acquisition Sailors and newly appointed rated Sailors of the Combat Ratings, dedication to her division, staff and Sailors alike resulted in her promotion to First Class and her selection of 2010 CID Corry Station SOY and NETC SOY.
In July 2011 IT1 Craig arrived to PRECOMDET Michael Murphy DDG-112. IT1 Craig was selected to wear the honored title of the Chief Petty Officer. While stationed onboard USS MICHAEL MURPHY she was the LCPO for the Communications Division and the Command Information Security Manager (IAM), EKMS Manager and Command SAPR. Currently ITC Hapner is the Senior Enlisted Leader for NCTAMS PAC DET Puget Sound in Bangor Sub-Base Washington over three regional UIC’s.
ITC Hapner’s personal decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal (1), Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal (6), Navy Battle E (3), Navy Good Conduct (4), National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal as well various other ribbons and citations.
