JFTOC Watch Officer

 

Description:  Manages all Navy C4I tactical communications assets and systems in the Pacific NAVCOMMAREA.  Leads 60 military/civilian watch-standers.  

Pay grade=E7, E8, CWO2, CWO3, O-1 thru O-3.

 

JFTOC Watch Supervisor

 

Description:  Assists the JFTOC Watch Officer in the management of Navy C4I tactical communications assets and systems in the Pacific and Indian Ocean NAVCOMMAREAS in direct support of PACFLT operational units.

Pay grade=E6    (E5 & E4’s have qualified and do stand the watch).

 

JFTOC UHF Operation Cell Manager

 

Description:  Supervises 22 E-6 and below in the administration of UHF Technical and Network Control activities utilizing DAMA and JMINI control systems. 

Pay grade=E5 and below.

 

Tech Control Facility Chief of the Watch (TCF COW)

 

Description:  Manages 15 personnel in maintaining and troubleshooting all communications circuitry traversing the Technical Control Facility and its outlying sites.

Pay grade=E7 (E6 & E5’s have qualified and do stand the watch).

 

Tactical Operator

 

Description:  Responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of C4I transmission and other complex ship-to-shore EHF/SHF/UHF communication throughout the Pacific region.

Pay grade=E6 & E5.

 

Cryptographic Security Equipment Supervisor

 

Description:  Supervises three personnel in the proper operation of COMSEC and Cryptographic Security Equipment.  Also, trains personnel on proper handling of CMS.

Pay grade=E5

 

Primary Testing Area Operator

 

Description:  Performs fault isolation and quality control checks on high speed analog and digital data circuits/trunks.

Pay grade=E4 and below.

 

Pacific Region Network Operations Center Watch Supervisor

 

Description:  Supervises four personnel in the monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SIPR/NIPR/SCI/CENTRIXS/CAS connectivity.

Pay grade=E6 (E5 & E4’s have qualified and do stand the watch).

 

Pacific Region Network Operations Center System Administrator

 

Description:  Supervises NIPR/SIPR/CENTRIXS/CAS operations and is responsible for system administration. Maintains system configurations and coordinates software updates to ensure proper routing and handling of IP traffic.

Pay grade=E5

 

Pacific Region Network Operations Center Watch Operator

 

Description:  Monitors and maintains SIPRNET/NIPRNET/CENTRIXS connectivity and all corresponding equipment.  Analyze and troubleshoot IP Connectivity and Equipment Configurations for over 110 Fleet Units.

Pay grade=E5 and below.

 

Pacific Message Center Watch Officer

 

Description:  Leads 15 personnel in maintaining the operational readiness of 14 mission critical systems.

Pay grade=E6 (E5 have qualified and do stand the watch).

 

 

Traffic Watch Officer

 

Description:  Supervises 10 military personnel in the proper operation, troubleshooting and restoration of Information/Fleet messaging systems and FMX/DUSC components.

Pay grade=E6 (E5 & E4’s have qualified and do stand the watch).

 

Defense Messaging System (DMS) Watch Officer

 

Description:  Supervises 10 personnel in the network administration, connectivity, and quality assurance of the Defense Message System and all associated components. 

Pay grade=E6 (E5, E4’s have qualified and do stand the watch).

 

Pacific Message Center Master Update Authority Operator

 

Description:  Maintains and assists with the proper operation, restoration, and troubleshooting of COMMSHIFTS, 150 Multi-level Mail Server mailboxes, and more that 50 NOVA circuits.

Pay grade=E5 or E4

 

VERDIN/ISABPS Operator

 

Description:  Operates, coordinates and performs systems checks on the shore VERDIN System (consisting of URR-7, URT-30, associated crypto and frequency standard), and the ISABPS system (consisting of the USH-23 and UYK-20).

Pay grade=E5

 

Message Center Operator

 

Description:  Responsible for the proper operations, troubleshooting, and restoration of Fleet Service/Message Center systems to include FMX/DUSC, FSM, CUDIXS, NOVA, SHF, MMS, MUA, and DMS.

Pay grade= E4 and below.

 

Regional Network Operations and Security Center (RNOSC) Tech

 

Description:  Provides management and operational policy direction for event, incident, and problem management of all Navy C4I tactical communications assets to and systems in the Pacific AOR.
