COMMANDER JODY H. GRADY
Chief Staff Officer
Commander Grady graduated from Georgia Tech in 1994 with a BE in Aerospace Engineering where he received his commission from the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps. He has most recently served as the Combat Systems Officer in USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65) from July 2011 until January 2013 where he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
His assignments included:
Combat Information Center Officer, USS JOHN A MOORE (FFG 19), deployed in support of Counter-Narcotics Operations
Assistant Operations Officer, Destroyer Squadron ONE (CDS 1), deployed in support of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT)
Information Technology Director, Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center
Automated Data Processing Officer and OneNET Planning Officer, US Naval Central Command/Fifth Fleet
Executive Assistant, OPNAV N6
Flag Communications Officer, Strike Group ELEVEN, deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom and deployed a second time in support of Seventh Fleet operations
Knowledge Manager and Convoy Commander, Combined Support and Training Command – Afghanistan (CSTC-A)
He holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Naval Postgraduate School. His personal awards include the Joint Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Meritorious Service Medal (2), Navy Commendation Medal (3), Navy Achievement Medal (3), and the Copernicus Award (2004).
