Senior Enlisted Leader 

YNC(IDW/SW/AW/PJ) Jeffrey D. Sellers entered the Navy in November 1993 as an undesignated Fireman Recruit, and attended Recruit Training in Orlando, Florida.  FR Sellers graduated boot camp and finished “Fireman Apprenticship” training at Orlando, Florida.  In March 1994, he reported for duty onboard the USS CARL VINSON (CVN-70) homeported at Naval Air Station Alameda, San Francisco, California. 

FR Sellers was assigned to Ship’s Admin as a Yeoman.  During this tour, he struck for Yeoman, was designated a YN3 and attained YN2.  Additionally, he made two full Western Pacific deployments to include Operation DESERT STRIKE. 

Following his tour onboard CVN-70, YN2 Sellers reported to the Nuclear Propulsion Examining Board (NPEB), Commander-in-Chief U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii in December 1997.  He was assigned as the Directorate Leading Petty Officer.  While assigned to NPEB he ensured the travel arrangements for the inspection teams and that Operational Reactor Safeguards Examination Reports were staffed and submitted to Naval Reactors.   

In May 2001, YN2 Sellers transferred to USS CARL VINSON (CVN-70) in Bremerton, Washington.  Upon arrival, he was assigned to the Navigation Department.  YN2 Sellers was later advanced to YN1 and reassigned to be the LPO of the Engineering Log Room.  Deployed in June 2001 on a regular scheduled Western Pacific cruise.  Upon 9/11 ship was positioned off the coast of Pakistan to provide support for Operation ENDURING FREEDOM AFGHANISTAN.  Later in 2003, the ship finished the first excelerated yard period and workups following 9/11 and deployed in support of GWOT efforts in Iraq.  This role involved monitoring and showing force off the coast of Korea.  Additionally, he earned both the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist qualifications.  

After leaving CVN-70, YN1 Sellers reported to Special Operations Command, Pacific (SOCPAC), Pearl Harbor, Hawaii in November 2004 as the J1 Navy Element LPO of Navy Programs and Joint Awards.  During this time he supported Task Force FIVE ONE ZERO, numerous operations and exercies in the Pacific and Indian Ocean area of responsibility.  While there, he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and attended Army Jump School at Fort Benning, Georgia.  Later he went on to earn his Naval Parachutiest Jump Wings.  
 
Following a tour at SOCPAC, he reported to Electronic Attack Squardron ONE THREE EIGHT (VAQ-138) at Whidbey Island, Washington in January 2008 as the Admin Department Leading Chief Petty Officer.  During this tour he deployed onboard USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN-72) for a Western Pacific deployment in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM AFGHANISTAN.  Following this deployment, VAQ-138 converted to the Growler airframe and became an Expeditionary squadron. 

After a tour at VAQ-138, he transferred to Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NAVCOMTELSTA), Sicily, Italy in February 2011 as the Admin Officer and Legal Officer.  During his time at NAVCOMTELSTA Sicily he served as the Command Individual Augmentee Coordinator and is currently the: Enlisted Information Dominance Warfare Program Coordinator, Educational Services Officer, Vicitms and Witness Assistance Program Coordinator, Command Privacy Act Coordinator, Freedom of Information Act Coordinator, Command Records Manager Assistant, Manpower and Readiness Control Officer, and Evidence Custodian.
