Command Senior Chief

 
CMDCS (SW) William C. Worthen is a native of Clinton, Arkansas and enlisted in the navy in June of 1994. In December 1994 after Completing Operation Specialist “A” School, he reported to his first duty station, the USS Arleigh Burke DDG 51. He completed one Mediterranean Cruise and one Fleet week in New York City.
In July of 1996 Senior Chief Worthen did a no-cost duty swap to the USS Ticonderoga CG 47. Here he is qualified Surface warfare specialist and was promoted to Second Class Petty Officer. He completed three Drug Operations in South America and the Caribbean. In February 1999 He transferred to NAS Meridian, MS serving Naval Technical training Center Meridian as a Legal clerk. In January 2001 he cross rated to Master at Arms and completed MA “A” School in February 2001. He went to K9 handler school and graduated in May of 2001. His first Duty station as a Master at Arms was NSA La Maddalena where he made First Class Petty Officer and served as the Kennel Supervisor until June of 2003.
 In July of 2003, he reported to NAS Fallon Security where he served as Kennel LPO for one year before taking over duties as the Command Investigator. In July of 2006, he reported to the USS O’Kane DDG 77. Here he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and served as the Chief Master at Arms. He completed three West Pac’s and re-qualified as Surface Warfare Specialist. In September 2009, he reported to NAS Kingsville as LCPO for Security. After completing 3 ½ years in Kingsville he transferred to NSA Souda Bay, Crete in 2013 to serve as the LCPO of Operation for NSA Souda Bay security. He was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer. In August 2014, he reported to European Headquarters in Stuttgart Germany to serve as Antiterrorism Officer for all of Europe. He was selected to be the Navy Element Senior Enlisted Leader while here. In 2017, he was selected as a Command Senior Chief.
Senior Chief Worthen’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Commendation Medal with two awards, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal with 4 awards and various other service and campaign medals. Senior Chief Worthen is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy and he holds an Associate’s degree from University of Phoenix. He is is married to Rosana Rascon and has 4 Children. Michael, 26, lives in Bedford, Indiana. Voctoria, 17. Trey, 15. Trinity, 13, lives in Corpus Christi, Texas.
