Commander Jeff Buss, U.S. Navy, assumed command of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Sicily, on 02 Aug 2012.
CDR Buss is a 1993 graduate of Marquette University with a degree in Finance. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a Master’s in Business Administration, Touro University with a Master’s in InformationTechnology Management and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces where he was awarded a Master’s degree in National Resource Strategy and completed the Program Manager’s Course and the Senior Acquisition Course. He is certified level 2 in Program Management and is a member of the Space Cadre and Acquisition Professional Community.
CDR Buss’s career includes sea duty assignments at Electronic Attack Squadron-133, Commander Third Fleet, Combined Task Group 515.1, and Combined Task Force 76/Expeditionary Strike Group 7 forward deployed in Okinawa, Japan.
CDR Buss’s shore assignments include Electronic Countermeasure Warfare Officer training at VAQ-129, Naval Officer Recruiting Station Iowa City, IA and Deputy Director of Operations and MUOS lead at the Navy Satellite Operation Center
CDR Buss is authorized to wear the Meritorious Service Medal (3), Air Medal (Strike Flight), Joint Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (5), Navy Achievement Medal (4) And various campaign and service awards.
