This Department takes pride in, not only the day to day accomplishments of our executive cadre, but also in high level forms of recognition they receive. This area provides information on certain high-level DON, DoD, Presidential, and awards from outside sponsors which may be of interest to DON commands and executive community.
Presidential Rank Awards
The President selects and grants the Presidential Rank Award (PRA) to a small group of Senior Executive Service members and Senior Career Professional. The two categories of awards are Distinguished and Meritorious. Individuals who receive this award are the Government’s strongest executive leaders, senior professionals or scientists who have a consistent record of accomplishments and achievements, and have demonstrated a relentless dedication to excellence in the public service, and a strong commitment to integrity.
