The mission of the DON EEO Program is to ensure that all persons are provided equal opportunities to participate in the full range of employment opportunities and to achieve to their fullest potential.


Providing equal opportunity in employment for all employees and applicants through clearly defined Human Resources (HR) and EEO policies and programs gives us the foundation we need to proactively prevent discrimination in employment because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability; and prohibit acts of reprisal. Our managers and supervisors are responsible, along with our EEO and HR personnel, for successful policy and program implementation so that we can promote the full realization of equal employment opportunity through continuing affirmative programs that are efficient, responsive, and legally compliant.

  • DON major commands and subordinate activities implement their EEO Programs in support of and in alignment with the overall DON EEO Program strategic goals and objectives.
