Full Title LABOR RELATIONS FOR SUPERVISORS AND MANAGERS
Description The purpose of this course is to provide an intensive and interactive overview of Labor Relations in the federal sector to aid supervisors and managers increase their knowledge and skills in dealing with union related matters. Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

1. apply the rights and responsibilities of management when dealing with bargaining units and bargaining unit employees
2. apply the appropriate management requirements per the collective bargaining unit agreement
3. identify employee and union rights and responsibilities
4. identify when union representation is required
5. identify the rules on union notification
6. identify what is an unfair labor practice (ULP)
7. apply the collective bargaining agreement in dealing with the workforce
8. apply appropriate procedures and countermeasures for resolving grievances and disputes

Eligibility Recommended for Department of Navy supervisors and managers, including military and NAF who supervise civilians in bargaining units, as well as HR Specialists who advise managers and supervisors.
