 NAVY CAPITOL HILL WORKSHOP

The Government Affairs Institute, Georgetown University, provides opportunities for Department of Navy (DON) employees to receive a first-hand understanding not only of congressional process and procedure, but also the unique culture surrounding the United States Congress. Over the four days, participants will hear from, and be afforded the opportunity to ask questions of, Members of Congress, congressional staff, academic observers, interest group representatives, news media representatives and DON Legislative Liaison staff.

Participants will receive briefings specifically tailored for the Navy on the current status and insider analysis of legislative issues of most interest and importance to officials across the Department of the Navy. Topics range from the issues and politics of the overall Department of Defense authorization and appropriation to the details of specific programs and systems.

Target Audience: GS-11 (or equivalent) and above or O-2 and above who have a need or interest in a comprehensive understanding of Congress.

Course Duration: Each course runs four days and is conducted entirely on Capitol Hill.

Tuition: $1,375.00

Completion of the online registration will hold your seat in your session. However, you must submit a completed SF182 to the Government Affairs Institute at Georgetown University before the pay deadline applicable to the course you are registered for.
