Description The purpose of this “refresher” course is to provide the most current insight for enhancing functional knowledge and technical performance for the Contracting Officer’s (Technical) Representative (COR/COTR) and other contractor oversight positions. This training course will help experienced COR/COTRs keep pace with the rapidly changing acquisition world. The course presents and discusses new laws and regulations, as well as recent Government Accountability Office (GAO) and Inspector General (IG) cases that pertain to the federal government oversight process. In addition, this course reemphasizes procurement integrity and ethics issues. Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

(1) describe the different duties, responsibilities and limits of authority of a COR/COTR
(2) discuss the new laws and regulations
(3) identify emerging initiatives in contractor oversight
(4) discuss recent trends in acquisition
(5) identify complex issues affecting CORs/COTRs
(6) apply procurement integrity and ethics in the performance of their COR/COTR duties and responsibilities
Eligibility All federal government COR/COTRs, or similar professionals that desire to stay current in their contract administration function and/or must complete a refresher course every two years to maintain their current certification.

METHOD OF PAYMENT: Upon completion of training, the HRSC-SW Training Office will provide to the vendor each activity's SF 182(s) under a letter of transmittal, which contains billing information. Vendors will process SF 182(s) for payment based on the information provided.

In Section C – Block 6 indicate “Payment by Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC)” and include Cardholder’s name, address, telephone number, Card Number, and Expiration Date. After the nomination deadline, no-shows will be obligated for the cost of the course and will be charged by the vendor. Substitutions will be accepted.
Cancellation Cancellations must reach and be confirmed by an HRSC, SW Code 30 representative no later than close of business on the nomination deadline date. Failure to comply will obligate the activity for payment.
