 DON LER AWARDS

Certificate

The Department of the Navy (DON) meritorious awards program for accomplishments in employee relations is committed to recognizing and rewarding the extraordinary efforts and contributions made by practitioners and programs toward fulfilling the goals and objectives of our community of practice in support of the DON mission.

The Office of Civilian Human Resources (OCHR) will be primarily responsible for administering this non-monetary awards program. To learn more about the DON ER Awards Program, read the OCHR LER Awards for Excellence 2010 Nomination Form.

 AWARDS CATEGORIES

This award will be bestowed on individuals/ teams by the Director, OCHR in the following categories:

  • Labor and Employee Relations Practitioners Award
    Recognition for exceptional service as an agency representative in third-party matters
  • Labor and Employee Relations Mentor Award
    Recognition for exceptionally effective participation as a community based mentor
  • Labor and Employee Relations Intern Award
    Recognition for exceptional growth and development and potential for high achievement in the community of practice while serving in a local, command or DON HR intern program
  • Labor and Employee Relations Program Development Award
    Recognition for contributions that benefit the employee relations program at large
  • Labor and Employee Relations ADR Award
    Recognition for effective use of alternative dispute resolution in LER matters

 NOMINATION PROCEDURES

Nomination

Nominations may be submitted by Directors of the Human Resources Service Centers; Directors of Civilian Personnel Programs; Human Resources Directors; Command / Activity Heads; and Command Deputy Equal Employment Opportunity Officers.
