IN SUPPORT OF THE PRESIDENTIAL HIRING REFORM, THE DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY IS WORKING TO ADDRESS SOME OF THE MAJOR IMPEDIMENTS TO RECRUITING AND HIRING THE BEST AND THE BRIGHTEST TALENT INTO OUR CIVILIAN WORKFORCE.

PART OF THE DON REFORM INVOLVES USING NEW TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY TO IMPROVE THE HIRING EXPERIENCE AND CONTINUE TO REDUCE THE TIME TO FILL VACANCIES. WE ARE TRANSITIONING FROM OUR CURRENT TOOL, RESUMIX TO USA STAFFING (FOR HIRING MANAGERS AND HUMAN RESOURCE PROFESSIONALS) AND FROM CHART TO USA JOBS (FOR APPLICANTS).

RECRUITING THE BEST EMPLOYEES IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT AND PRESSING ACTIVITIES PERFORMED BY HIRING MANAGERS. USA STAFFING TECHNOLOGY PROVIDES THEM WITH THE NECESSARY TOOLS AT THEIR DESKTOP TO MAKE KEY HIRING PLANS AND DECISIONS. USA JOBS WILL AID US IN IMPROVING THE APPLICATION PROCESS – MAKING JOB ANNOUNCEMENTS EASIER TO UNDERSTAND, ELIMINATING ESSAY-TYPE KSA STATEMENTS FOR THE INITIAL APPLICATION, AND CONTACTING APPLICANTS AT FOUR CRITICAL STAGES AFTER THEY APPLY.
