An important part of your financial plan for retirement is the amount of your Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) or Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) retirement annuity.
There are several ways you can obtain information about the amount of your CSRS or FERS annuity.
- Employee Benefits Information System (EBIS). You can access your Personal Statement of Benefits (PSOB) in EBIS that includes information about your retirement/survivor benefits. The retirement information contained in the PSOB assumes you have no outstanding deposits, redeposits, or military service deposits. You can also use the EBIS retirement calculators to prepare simple and advanced calculations.
- Request a retirement annuity computation. If you are within five years of retirement eligibility you may request a retirement annuity estimate by completing a Request for Retirement Annuity Computation and sending it to the Civilian Benefits Center. You should submit only one request in a 12 month period unless there are extenuating circumstances.
