If you are enrolled in FEDVIP, your dental and/or vision insurance coverage terminates as of the date you separate from Federal service, unless your separation is a retirement. There is no temporary extension of coverage and you can not convert to a private policy.

Your dental and/or vision insurance automatically terminates when you separate, but you may want to contact BENEFEDS to notify them of your separation.
