If you are enrolled in FEDVIP and are called to active military duty, you can continue your dental and/or vision enrollment and pay premiums directly to BENEFEDS on a post-tax basis through a direct bill method. This means you will receive a bill at your home address for the premiums. You must pay this bill by the due date specified on the bill or your coverage will be terminated. You cannot incur a debt for the premiums.

You may cancel your dental and/or vision insurance if your nonpay status is to perform active military duty.

1. As soon as you know you will be entering active military duty, contact BENEFEDS for counseling.
2. If you continue your enrollment, you must pay the premiums to BENEFEDS through direct billing.
3. As soon as you return to a pay and duty status, contact BENEFEDS for counseling.
