Forms Management Program

(DNS-51)

We are responsible for forms maintenance and furnish guidance, technical information and tools on forms development. We have direct management of Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV and NAVSO) forms and Chief of Navy Operation (OPNAV) forms. We decrease form redundancy and reduce the associated costs of managing paper forms.

Initiatives

  • Foster a community of highly-trained forms managers at Echelon II level
  • Manage the Public and Interagency Reports programs for the Navy
  • Convene the Navy Forms Management Council to ensure the Forms and Reports compliance
  • Provide Web-based training for forms and reports programs to various Navy audiences
  • Establish a forms metadata repository, forms-related workflows and provide skills enhancement

Branch Achievements

  • Created a universal platform for e-Forms development, distribution and usage
  • Established a productive community of highly-trained forms managers at Echelon II level
  • Providing easy access to forms for enterprise use via an online portal
