Under the direction of the CIO, COMOPTEVFOR’s Information Resources (IR) division’s mission is to provide superior information technology (IT) support to the COMOPTEVFOR staff. The IR division assists the staff with Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) automated information systems, defense messaging, and telecommunications. Specifically, the IR division provides hardware/software support, configuration control, engineering design, requirements analysis, user training, Information Assurance, IT procurement, and technology Life Cycle Management (LCM). Direct support is provided to approximately 450 users at headquarters. Limited remote support is provided to the staffs of AIRTEVRON ONE, AIRTEVRON NINE and AIRTEVRON NINE DETACHMENT.
