CDR Matthew L. Ghen
DIRECTOR, COMMUNICATIONS & INFORMATION SYSTEMS/N6
Commander Matthew Ghen is a native of Landsdale, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the US Navy in December 1993. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree and commissioned at the Pennsylvania State University in May 1999. He earned his Master of Science, Computer Science, from the Naval Postgraduate School in April 2006.
Following boot camp he successfully completed the nuclear power training pipeline and served on PCU Seawolf. Upon his commissioning he served on USS Jacksonville with follow on tours to USS Enterprise and USS Winston S. Churchill. Further, he was the Destroyer Squadron Two N6.
Ashore, he served as an action officer on the OPNAV N6 staff, independent assignment to Iraq at the Joint NETOPS Control Center as the deputy network engineer, Executive Officer of NAVCOMTELSTA San Diego, and deputy N6 for Commander Naval Air Pacific.
CDR Ghen’s warfare qualifications include Surface Warfare Officer and Information Dominance Corps Officer.
