Navy Mishaps

31 Aug 2-wh (Norfolk, VA) While on terminal leave, an E-4 on a motorcycle died in a multi-vehicle accident. 
12 Aug Off-Duty (Oklahoma City, OK) E-4 died in an ATV mishap.
29 Jul Off-Duty (Cherry Point, NC) E-3 Marine died when he was struck in the neck by a metal mop handle.
22 Jul 2-wh (San Diego, CA) E-7 died in a single-motorcycle mishap after he entered a turn, hit gravel, lost control and struck a telephone pole.
19 Jul 2-wh (Bahrain) E-6 driver died and E-5 passenger critically injured in motorcycle mishap.
09 Jul 4-wh (Goose Creek, SC) E-6 died in a single-vehicle mishap when the vehicle overturned after striking a curb and traffic light pole.
09 Jul 4-wh (Ocala, FL) E-4 died in an automobile mishap when he was ejected from the vehicle and struck by an oncoming vehicle after he crossed the median and struck a concrete culvert.
04 Jul 4-wh (Norfolk, VA) E-7 died after unknown mechanical problem resulted in a vehicle fire.
01 Jul 4-wh (Fresno, CA) Marine E-3 driver and Navy E-4 passenger died in a collision with a tractor-trailer.
17 Jun Off-Duty (Laton, CA) E-4 drowned and 2 others injured when raft carrying 9 Sailors overturned causing all to go over a dam spillway.
16 Jun Off-Duty (Livingston, MT) E-6 drowned while white water rafting after falling out of the boat. 
06 Jun 2-wh (Hanford, CA) E-3 died in a motorcycle mishap when he struck the side of a tractor-trailer at an intersection.
04 Jun 2-wh (Chula Vista, CA) E-4 died in a motorcycle mishap when he crossed into oncoming traffic while in a corner, laying the motorcycle down and sliding into an oncoming vehicle.
28 May 2-wh (Pomfret, CT) E-4 died in a motorcycle mishap when he crossed into on-coming traffic and struck another vehicle.
27 May 2-wh (Virginia Beach, VA) E-6 died in a single-motorcycle mishap when he lost control and struck a utility pole.

02 Sep 2-wh (Fayetteville, NC) An E-4 died on 04 Sep 2011 from a motorcycle mishap.
02 Sep 2-wh (National City, CA) An E-5 died on impact with a tree after being ejected from a motorcycle in a single-vehicle accident.
01 Sep 4-wh (between Maysville and New Bern, NC) An E-3 died on 03 Sep 2011 from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle automobile mishap where he lost control of the vehicle and it flipped.
08 Aug 4-wh (Lucerne Valley, CA) E-3 died in an automobile mishap when he drifted into oncoming traffic and then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to depart the roadway and roll over.
30 Jul 4-wh (San Bernardino, CA) E-3 driver and E-2 passenger died in an automobile mishap when the vehicle caught fire after the driver lost control, crashed through a fence and struck two trees.
24 Jul Off-Duty (Orange Beach, AL) O-1 body found in water by local authorities after he had been boating with friends.
24 Jul 2-wh (Myrtle Beach, SC) E-6 died in a single-motorcycle mishap when he lost control and struck a tree.
23 Jul 2-wh (Jacksonville, NC) E-3 died in a single-motorcycle mishap when he struck a culvert.
12 Jul Off-Duty (France) O-4 died when he collided with mountain side while parachute base jumping.
06 Jul 2-wh (Fallbrook, CA) E-3 on a motorcycle died after failing to negotiate a curve at high speed.
08 Jun 2-wh (Jacksonville, NC) E-6 died in a motorcycle mishap when he struck a vehicle making an illegal turn in front of him.
05 Jun 4-wh (Mercer County, WV) E-4 died in an automobile mishap after the vehicle in which he was a passenger clipped another vehicle and rolled multiple times.
28 May Off-Duty

(Honolulu, HI) E-2 died after falling from a hotel balcony.

28 May 4-wh (Tuscaloosa, AL) E-2 died in a single-vehicle mishap when he lost control of the vehicle, struck a tree, and was partially ejected.
