Description
a. Black (All). A black jacket, 55/45% poly/wool with a stand-up knit collar and knit cuffs and bottom. Jacket is single-breasted with a zipper front closer, two inverted slant pockets, and shoulder epaulets. This relax fit jacket may be optionally worn by E-6 and below with the new Service Uniform.
b. Khaki Windbreaker (Officers/ CPOs). A single-breasted, short style jacket, made of water repellent poly/cotton poplin cloth. It has a plain collar, two pockets located on side fronts, a zipper and a collar button closure.
Correct Wear
Close zipper at least 3/4 of the way. Button collar button back when not in use. May be worn with liner. For insignia, officers see article 4103, CPOs see article 4213 and E6 and below see article 4227. Patches and name tags are not authorized for wear on jackets.
Ownership Markings
Inside of the hem at the right on the center line on the back.
