Commanding Officers have significant influence on the eating environment within and around their command. 

Although education on proper nutrition is important, increasing the availability of healthful foods and decreasing the availability of unhealthy foods is more effective in promoting a ready force. 

Promoting good nutrition through local policy and guidance make it easier for Sailors to eat healthfully.

m-NEAT

 The military Nutrition Environment Assessment Tool (m-NEAT) is a method of assessing how supportive your command /community is of healthy eating and provides ideas for positive changes.
