Military OneSource is a confidential Department of Defense-funded program providing comprehensive information on every aspect of military life at no cost to active duty, National Guard, and reserve members, and their families.

Information includes, but is not limited to, deployment, reunion, relationships, grief, spouse employment and education, parenting and childhood services. It is a virtual extension to installation services.

Navy Gold Star Program (NGS) (www.navygoldstar.com)

The Navy Gold Star Program is dedicated to fostering resiliency for surviving families of deceased service members.  NGS offices throughout the country coordinate with both government and non-government organizations to provide services such as chaplain services, personal financial counseling, school liaison assistance, family employment, clinical counseling, and area survivor events.

Online Survivor Benefits Report (OSBR) (https://myarmybenefits.us.army.mil/prebuilt/USN/Casualty/login.aspx)

The OSBR is an online, interactive benefits calculator available to surviving spouses and dependent children of military members who died while on active duty on or after September 11, 2001.  It projects the family’s lifetime stream of Department of Defense (DOD), Social Security Administration (SSA) and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits.  In addition to current and estimated future benefits, users may view effects on their benefits in the event of life changes such as remarriage, disability, death, or continuing education.

Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) (www.taps.org)

The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) offers compassionate care to all those grieving the death of a loved one serving in our Armed Forces. Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope 24 hours a day, seven days a week through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones.
