ADDITIONALLY, FACILITIES ARE RECEIVING NEW AND UPGRADED COMPUTERS TO MEET THE HIGH CUSTOMER DEMAND, AND COSMETIC IMPROVEMENTS ARE BEING MADE WITH NEW CARPETING, FURNITURE, AND PICTURES. GN2202. KEEPING UNIFORMS CLEAN AND CRISP IS NO EASY TASK FOR SAILORS. THE MWR PROGRAM AT NAVAL STATION SAN DIEGO (NAVSTA) REMOVED THE FINANCIAL BURDEN OF STAYING "SHIP SHAPE." NAVSTA PUBLIC LAUNDRY FACILITIES ARE NOW FREE TO ACTIVE DUTY PERSONNEL. MWR TOOK CHARGE OF THE NAVSTA LAUNDROMATS AND CONVERTED THE PREVIOUSLY COIN OPERATED MACHINES TO FREE USAGE. THERE ARE THREE CONVENIENTLY LOCATED LAUNDROMATS OPEN 24-HOURS A DAY. NAVSTA FREE LAUNDRY FACILITIES ARE ANOTHER MWR EFFORT TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR OUR MILITARY. GN2203. ACTIVE, RESERVE, AND RETIRED NAVY SERVICE MEMBERS MAY NOW VIEW AND PRINT THEIR LEAVE AND EARNING STATEMENTS (LES) ONLINE. SAILORS WHO HAVE ACCESS TO THE INTERNET WHETHER DEPLOYED OR USING A HOME COMPUTER CAN VIEW THEIR LES WHEN THEY ARE POSTED AT THE END OF THE MONTH. THE E/MSS WEB SITE ALSO CONTAIN INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO ESTABLISH A PIN. GN2204. THE NEW CAR WASH AND DETAILING PAVILION AT NAVAL WEAPONS STATION CHARLESTON, SC IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS. THE CAR WASH AND DETAILING PAVILION HAVE FOUR BAYS. ONE OF THE CAR WASH BAYS IS LARGE ENOUGH TO ACCOMMODATE RVS AND HAS A THREE-FOOT PLATFORM TO STAND ON WHILE CLEANING THE HIGHER POINTS OF RVS. THE FACILITY FEATURES THREE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CLEANING WANDS, SIX VACUUM MACHINES, AND AN ELECTRICAL OUTLET FOR PATRONS TO HOOK UP ELECTRICAL BUFFERS. MACHINES FROM WHICH PATRONS MAY PURCHASE GLASS CLEANER, VEHICLE INTERIOR CLEANING SPONGES, AND OTHER QUALITY CAR CARE PRODUCTS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE AT THE CAR WASH. GN2205. SO, NO MORE DRIVING ACROSS THE BASE AND HAVING TO WAIT IN LINE. THE VAN MAKES FIVE STOPS AROUND EACH BASE IN THE JACKSONVILLE AREA (NAS JACKSONVILLE, NS MAYPORT, SUBMARINE BASE KINGS BAY).
