SOON TO BE OFFERED BY FLEET AND FAMILY SUPPORT CENTERS (FFSC) NAVY-WIDE, THE WORKSHOPS ARE FOUR DAYS LONG AND OFFER: INDIVIDUAL SKILLS AND TALENT EVALUATION; GOAL SETTING TECHNIQUES; COMPARISONS OF CIVILIAN SECTOR CAREERS; NAVY CONTINUATION AND UPWARD MOBILITY OPTIONS; AND METHODS TO ENHANCE PERSONAL FINANCIAL STABILITY. PARTICIPANTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR TWO COLLEGE CREDITS THROUGH THE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO (DENVER) UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION. TO DATE, THE MID-CAREER WORKSHOP CURRICULUM HAS BEEN INTRODUCED TO OVER 30 COMMANDS IN NAVY REGIONS NORTHWEST, SOUTHEAST, EUROPE, AND THE WESTERN PACIFIC. ADDITIONAL TRAIN-THE-TRAINER WORKSHOPS WILL BE FACILITATED AT NAB CORONADO, CA AND NS NEWPORT, RI LATER THIS FISCAL YEAR. 2. CONSEP COMPLEMENTS OUR HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL CAREER DECISION FAIRS, SPONSORED BY THE CENTER FOR CAREER DEVELOPMENT (CCD), AND PROVIDES LOCAL INSTALLATIONS A CONTINUUM OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES TO TEACH OUR SAILORS AND THEIR SPOUSES. THE WORKSHOP WILL ASSIST SAILORS IN MAKING EDUCATED DECISIONS IN ORDER TO REMAIN COMPETITIVE THROUGHOUT THEIR CAREERS. DEVELOPMENT OF WORKSHOPS FOR BOTH FIRST-TERMERS AND PRE-RETIREMENT SAILORS ARE UNDERWAY. 3. AS PART OF OUR WAR FOR TALENT, COMMANDS ARE URGED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONSEP MID-CAREER WORKSHOPS WHICH TARGET SAILORS WITH SIX TO 12 YEARS OF ACTIVE SERVICE AND WHO ARE WITHIN 18-24 MONTHS OF EAOS.
