PERS-53 Command Support Services Division
Responsible for a wide variety of command support functions including Workforce Development, Personnel Security, Safety, Directives Management and Logistics Support Services.
PERS-53Z Safety and Occupational Health Program Branch
The goal and purpose of the Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) Branch is to ensure that all NPC employees are provided a safe and healthy work environment. To this end, the SOH Manager provides the following services: safety training; unsafe/unhealthful inspections; investigation of mishaps; annual building inspections; quarterly VTH briefings on current safety issues. We also ensure that our special Safety Programs such as Motorcyle Safety, Traffic Safety, and Medical Surveillance Programs are in compliance.
PERS-532 Directives, Printing, and Publications Branch
This branch issues directives to document programs, functions, organizational policies and procedures for which the command is responsible. Manages printing requirements for BUPERS Millington, NAVPERSCOM, and OPNAV N135. Maintains NAVPERS publications in the Navy Logistics Library website. Publishes and distributes personnel directives and forms via the BUPERS-CD ROM and the reference library of the NAVPERSCOM homepage.
PERS-533 Integrated Logistics Branch
The primary responsibilities of this branch include facilitating and coordinating all activities associated providing telecommunications, supply, facilities, transportation, purchase card, contracts and inventory management support for BUPERS Millington/NPC.
PERS 534 Security Branch
The major function of this branch is facilitating and coordinating all activities associated with the management of personnel, physical, industrial, operations (OPSEC) and information security. This branch is also responsible for managing mail for BUPERS Millington/NPC commands and Personnel Security Investigations for both military and civilian personnel.
PERS 535 Organizational Performance Branch
This branch serves as the deployment champion for NPC's continuous process improvement (CPI) initiatives. Specifically, establish, coordinate and provide leadership for command's CPI/LSS program. This branch also provides performance measurement/metric development and implementation for PERS-5.
