Transient Monitoring Unit (TMU) was established in July 1975 as a detachment of Enlisted Placement Management Center (EPMAC) to monitor the movement of personnel through the Limited Duty (LIMDU), Transient, Prisoner, Patient, Holdee, (TPPH) and Student Pipelines.  TMU conducts electronic review and on-site assist visits of transient processing activities to ensure personnel administration and management procedures are in place.

In an ongoing effort to enhance and further streamline the monitoring and tracking of transient and limited duty personnel, TMU announces the implementation of the Transient Status Verification Report (TSVR).  TSVR is a monthly electronic scrub of the Enlisted Master File for the entire transient and limited duty population and is designed to help PERSUPPDET's/CSD's in managing transients and limited duty personnel under their administrative cognizance.  More info is located here.
