Operational Support Office
(BUPERS-00R)

The BUPERS-00R Operational Support Officer is the Echelon II Navy Total Force Pillar OSO, responsible for over 15 commands and 4500 Reservists.  The PERS-00R OSO is the Echelon III OSO responsible for Active-Reserve Integration at BUPERS - MILLINGTON/NAVPERSCOM.

OSOs liaise between Regional Reserve Component Commanders, Navy Operational Support Centers (NOSCs), Reserve Units, individual Selected Reservists, and Active Commands.  OSOs improve the effectiveness of the Navy's Total Force policy and enhance Active-Reserve Integration by facilitating access to Reserve assets and maximizing operational support.  This includes the planning, budgeting, and execution of funds to meet Active Component requirements for Navy Reserve employment.

SELRES Check-in Procedure when reporting to BUPERS-MILL/NPC

Report no later than 0730 in NWU (Uniform of the Day).

1.  Member must be fully fit for duty, ready to work in assigned workspace.  Must also be in compliance with Uniform Regulations (link below) for uniform and grooming.

2.  Bring Original Orders (AT/ADT/ADSW/IDTT) including any and all modifications.

     **While Page 2 is no longer required to be hand carried, members must ensure that it has been verified within the last quarter IAW CNRFC policy, failure to do so will delay pay processing.

3.  Duty hours are based on the work centers needs and will be equal to those of your active duty counterparts.  If you have a specific request regarding duty hours, this will require coordination with your assigned work center.
