FTS Redesignation Board

                   The Spring FY18 FTS Transfer/Redesignation Board(#325) adjourned on 6 April 2018 and the results are posted to the right. Selectees can expect an email by April 17th, 2018 to accept or decline their selection. You will have exactly 10 calendar days to return that letter to PERS-92. Failure to return the letter within 10 days will constitute declination of the opportunity. Extension to this 10 day deadline will not be granted.
 
For those selected, your conversion to FTS will occur sometime over the next 3 to 12 months. Exact timing will vary based on PRD, promotion select status from previous boards, and needs of the Navy. Your new FTS detailer will work with you on your next assignment timing and will be able to provide the tentative month for conversion to FTS (XXX7) once all acceptance letters are received (usually in 3-4 weeks).
 
Conversion process:
- If you are currently an Active Component officer (i.e., XXX0 designator), you will be issued a new oath to transfer from the Active Duty List (ADL) to the Reserve Active Status List (RASL). This oath is different from your acceptance letter. You will receive this oath from PERS-92 within 3-12 months (see above paragraph). Once signed and returned, your designator will be changed to XXX7 within 3-5 business days. You will NOT receive notification of this change; however, you can verify the update has occurred by viewing your Officer Summary Record (OSR) on BOL. Of note, your designator change can occur before you have new orders to your first FTS position.
- If you are coming from a selective reserve status (i.e., XXX5 designator), you are already on the RASL and checking in to your new FTS duty station will change your designator to XXX7. Please consult with your detailer to discuss your individual timing.
