BECOMING AN AVIATOR OR NAVAL FLIGHT OFFICER

The Aviation officer community takes college graduates primarily from: United States Naval Academy (USNA), Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) units, Officer Candidate School (OCS) and various other accession sources.  All aspiring Aviator and flight officers commence initial flight training at Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL.  For details on flight training please go to the Chief of Naval Air and Training web site.

LATERAL TRANSFER OPPORTUNITY

Entry into the Aviation community for those officers already serving in the Navy is via the Lateral Transfer board.  For details please visit the Active Duty Transfer and Redesignation site.
