HOW AND WHEN TO CONTACT YOUR DETAILER
Please feel free to call or e-mail me anytime to discuss career progression questions. You can find my contact information on the Contact Us page.
To discuss orders, if you are returning from an overseas tour, feel free to contact me within 10 months of your PRD. All others should contact me within 8 months of your PRD. You must clear the GSA Detailer prior to negotiating your Operational Duty orders, please review the GSA website and contact the GSA detailer prior to contacting me. After talking with the GSA detailer, call me and we will discuss your desires, identify your career needs and review the jobs I have available. If you select a GSA, you are entitled to a bundle follow-on detail. This means you can negotiate your follow-on assignment as soon as you select your GSA. Our goal is to identify a specific billet that meets your needs and then get your orders 4-6 months prior to your transfer date.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
As most of you know, a masters degree is a critical milestone for promotion to CDR. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to obtain your advanced degree through one of the many programs offered.
Junior Service College is an excellent way to both obtain your Master’s degree, and enter the joint/operational logistics arena. The Service College program prepares naval officers for joint assignments and greater responsibilities through joint professional military education. Assignment is based on Junior Service College selection, quota availability, career needs and individual desires. Junior Service College is available to both LCDRs and LCDR selects.
Supply Corps officers seeking post graduate education are eligible to participate in several Master in Business Administration (MBA) programs offered through the Graduate School of Business and Public Policy (BPP). These MBA programs are curriculums 815, 819, 837, 838 and 870. The Graduate School of Operational and Informational Sciences (GSOIS) offers a Master of Science (MS) degree and these programs are curriculums 358 and 361. Officers complete Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I on site while enrolled.
