Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert announced today the following assignments: 

            Navy Rear Adm. Samuel J. Cox, will be assigned director, National Maritime Intelligence Center, Washington, D.C. and commander, Office of Naval Intelligence, Suitland, Md.  Cox previously served as director of intelligence, J2, U.S. Cyber Command, Fort George G. Meade, Md. 

            Capt. Robert V. Hoppa, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy director of operations, J3, U.S. Cyber Command, Fort George G. Meade, Md.  Hoppa is currently serving as director, National Maritime Intelligence Center, Washington, D.C. 

            Correction: Nov. 16, 2012 -- The Office of Naval Intelligence is located in Suitland, Md.

Release Date: 11/14/2012Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced today that the President has made the following nomination: 

            Navy Rear Adm. Kenneth E. Floyd for appointment to the rank of vice admiral and for assignment as commander, Third Fleet, San Diego, Calif.  Floyd is currently serving as assistant deputy chief of Naval Operations for Warfare Systems, N9B, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

The Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert announced today the following assignment:

             Rear Adm. Joseph A. Horn, will be assigned program executive officer for Integrated Warfare Systems, Washington, DC.  Horn is currently serving as program executive, Aegis BMD, Missile Defense Agency, Dahlgren, Va.

Release Date: 10/17/2012The Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert announced today the following assignments: 

            Rear Adm. (lower half) John R. Haley, who has been selected for the rank of rear admiral, will be assigned as director, global operations, J-3, U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Neb.  Haley is currently serving as Commander, Task Force Seven Zero/commander, Carrier Strike Group Five, Yokosuka, Japan. 

            Rear Adm. (lower half) Robert M. Hennegan, will be assigned as commander, Naval Mine and Anti-Submarine Warfare Command, San Diego, Calif.  Hennegan is currently serving as commander, Submarine Group Nine, Silverdale, Wash.

The Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert announced today the following assignment:

            Rear Adm. (lower half) Mark W. Darrah, will be assigned as commander, Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division/assistant commander for research and engineering, Naval Air Systems Command (AIR-4.0), Patuxent River, Md.  Darrah is currently serving as F-35 weapons system program manager, Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md.

The Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert announced today the following assignment: 

            Rear Adm. (lower half) Randolph L. Mahr will be assigned as deputy director, Joint Strike Fighter Program, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense Acquisitions, Technology and Logistics, Arlington, Va.  Mahr is currently serving as commander, Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division/assistant commander for research and engineering, Naval Air Systems Command (AIR 4.0), Patuxent River, Md.

The Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert announced today the following assignments: 

            Rear Adm. (lower half) Troy M. Shoemaker, who has been selected for the rank of rear admiral, will be assigned as chief of naval air training, Corpus Christi, Texas.  Shoemaker is currently serving as commander, Carrier Strike Group Nine, Everett, Wash. 

            Capt. Lawrence B. Jackson, who has been selected for the rank of rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy commander, Military Sealift Command, Washington, DC.  Jackson previously served as commander, Military Sealift Fleet Support Command, Norfolk, Va.

Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert announced today the following assignments: 

            Rear Adm. (lower half) Thomas L. Brown II, will be assigned as director, military support, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Springfield, Va.  Brown is currently serving as commander, Special Operations Command, U.S. Southern Command, Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla. 

            Rear Adm. (lower half) Kenneth J. Norton, will be assigned as commander, Naval Safety Center, Norfolk, Va.  Norton is currently serving as deputy chief of staff for strategy, resources, and plans, N5/N8, U.S. Naval Forces Europe/U.S. Naval Forces Africa/U.S. Sixth Fleet, Naples, Italy. 

            Rear Adm. (lower half) Gregory M. Nosal, will be assigned as deputy director, Joint Force Coordination, J3, Joint Staff, Norfolk, Va.  Nosal is currently serving as commander, Carrier Strike Group Two, Norfolk, Va. 

            Rear Adm. (lower half) Colin J. Kilrain, will be assigned as assistant commander, operations, Joint Special Operations Command, U.S Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, N.C.  Kilrain is currently serving as U.S. defense official/Defense Attaché Mexico, Brownsville, Texas. 

            Rear Adm. (lower half) Herman A. Shelanski, will be assigned as senior military assistant to the deputy secretary of defense, Washington, DC.  Shelanski previously served as commander, Carrier Strike Group Ten, Norfolk, Va.

The Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert announced today the following assignments: 

            Rear Adm. (lower half) Sandra E. Adams, will be assigned as reserve deputy commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, Virginia Beach, Va.  Adams is currently serving as reserve deputy commander, Navy Region Midwest, Great Lakes, Ill. 

            Rear Adm. (lower half) Jon G. Matheson, will be assigned as reserve deputy commander, Fourth Fleet, Mayport, Fla.  Matheson is currently serving as reserve deputy commander for Fleet Management, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Va. 

            Rear Adm. (lower half) Luke M. McCollum, will be assigned as reserve deputy director for force management, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Va.  McCollum is currently serving as reserve deputy commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, Virginia Beach, Va. 

            Capt. Scott B. J. Jerabek, who has been selected for the rank of rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as reserve deputy commander, Naval Warfare Development Command, Norfolk, Va.  Jerabek is currently serving as deputy commander, Maritime Expeditionary Security Group One, San Diego, Calif.
