YEOMAN RATING (YN)
Hello fellow YNs.
There had been many changes to the detailing process in the last year as per NAVADMIN 226/12 it is imperative that those in their negotiating window make the most of the application process. The five important keys to the detailing process are to communicate with your detailer, update your personal information in CMS/ID, submit max five applications, and be flexible.
Notes from the YN Detailing Team
• Per NAVADMIN 226/12, “All billets advertised on CMS/ID must be filled each month, detailers may be required to select Sailors who have not applied for assignment or those early in their negotiation window. Detailers will attempt to fill all billets using a Sailor's desired selections first, however, fleet readiness requirements will ultimately be the driving factor in the Sailor's assignment.
• Familiarize yourself with NAVADMIN 361/12(YN Sea/Shore Flow). If your PRD is not set in accordance with NAVADMIN 361/12 you should to contact your detailer.
• There have been several changes to the Fleet Ride PTS system. Refer to NAVADMIN 021/13 for the changes.
• Sailors interested in Special Programs or OSA assignment should be in contact with their perspective detailer 12 months from their PRD.
***Commands should visit Placement Management (PERS-4013) for questions regarding billets advertised on CMS/ID***
