SHIP SERVICEMEN RATING INFORMATION

Greetings from Millington!  For those of you whom I have not had the pleasure of meeting, I’m SHCS Blanton, the E6- E9 Rating Lead Detailer.

PRD Management and Negotiating Window.  It’s highly recommended that you read NAVADMIN 249/09.  Keep in mind you only have 3 months to negotiate via CMS.  During this period you are allowed to submit up to 15 applications - 5 per month. Do not submit only one application each month. Doing so will decrease your negotiation opportunities and increase your chances of being in the “Needs of the Navy” window.

Spouse Collocation. As a reminder, all spousal collocations should be submitted 12 months before your PRD.  Both members are required to complete and submit a NAVPERS 1306/7   action request.

Recently, we have been receiving many phone calls concerning shore duty billet availability. Please be advised that detailers do not control advertised billets on CMS.  Billets are strictly advertised by priority from the Manning Control Authority. We are committed to working with each of you individually to find the right billet for you, while meeting the requirement of the fleet.
