Fire Control Technician (FT)

Training continues to be the highest priority as the modernization of Fire Control Systems become more prevalent.  Those personnel currently holding BYG-1 maintenance NEC's should expect to rotate to a platform that meets their skill set. If an NEC is required prior to checking onboard, every attempt will be made to provide that required school en-route.

As always, forward-deployed vessels and commands are a priority. Assignment to an SSN in Guam provides the opportunity to gain valuable experience and has significant value at selection boards.
