*Due to additional documents required for "A" school assignments in accordance with the MILPERSMAN 1306-618 series, message requests and BUPERS access generated 1306/7's are not accepted for "A" school assignments. *Commanding Officer must ensure compliance with MILPERSMAN article 1440-050 (identification of strikers) which states that, "non-designated personnel who have an "A" school request pending or have been approved for attendance are not authorized to participate in an advancement examination for any other rating until completion of the "A" school.  Once a member participates in an advancement examination, he/she may not request an "A" School for a different rating until the results of the navy-wide advancement examination are released.                                             

*Commands are directed to ensure member is within physical readiness and body fat standards prior to transferring member to "A" School. If member is not within standards, notify PERS-4010S and do not transfer member (MILPERSMAN 1306-134).
