HM "C" Schools...Training the Navy's Finest
FY14 (PRD Oct 2013 thru Sept 2014) packages for all C Schools are being accepted.
-HOT FILL HM "C" SCHOOLS FOR FY14
HM8402, HM8403, HM8425, HM8427, HM8432, HM8493, HM8494, HM8541, HM8753, HM8765
-HM8425 Surface IDC: Pay grade E5 – E7 is in need. If Sailor does not meet CANTRAC requirements you may request a waiver from the Enlisted Community Manager PRIOR to submitting package.
-HM8402 Submarine IDC's are in high demand. Please check the CANTRAC for qualification. Also refer to MILPERSMAN 1306-402 for Submarine ASVAB qualifications and Page 13 for Sub Vol.
-If you are an 8427 or 8493 E5 (with 2 years TIR PRIOR to CLCVN date) thru E7 looking for a new challenge we need you in 8403 and 8494.
-Candidates are needed for Recon 8427 and DMT 8493. These NEC are high paced and rewarding to those that can accept a challenge. We are looking for E1 thru E4 with the E4 being advanced to E5 under the STAR program providing the general STAR requirements are met. There is also a generous SRB assigned to these NEC’s. Refer to MILPERSMAN 1306-983 for requirements and if accessible, contact your local DMT or Recon Corpsman for screening.
-It is not required to submit Page 3, 4, and 5’s with the C School application. If there are education requirements in the CANTRAC you must submit either the transcript or completion certificate. DO NOT SEND SMART TRANSCRIPT.
-The current STAR C Schools are HM8427, HM8493, HM8410 and HM8753.
-All items listed in the CANTRAC must accompany the 1306/7 when submitting the C School package.
-Command Career Counselors: when submitting "C" school packages for members that have either broken service or prior service in the Navy or other military branch, please annotate this fact in the "Reason for Request/Amplifying Information/Other Request" or "Additional Comments" block of the NAVPERS 1306/7. This will expedite the process when reviewing the member's request for school.
-All SRB/STAR/OTT requests are to be sent to PERS 811.
-Please ensure the earliest available date the command is willing to release the Sailor is included on the 1306/7.
-HM "C" school packages must contain PRIMS printouts showing last four PRT’s. If this information is missing it can hold up the review and processing of the member's "C" school package.
-Please provide the CCC's phone number and e-mail address on the NAVPERS 1306/7 "C" school packages.
-Commands are NOT authorized to send Sailors TAD to any C School.
