The Cryptologic Technician Networks (CTN)

The Cryptologic Technician Networks (CTN) possesses a combination of technical knowledge and analysis skills to fuse together information from various sources to provide the Operational Commanders with the situational awareness they will need to plan and execute Information Operation Courses of actions/counter-actions.  CTN will be able to perform Network Target Development; Software Analysis and Development; Network Access/Attack Operations; Red and Blue Team Operations; Indications & Warning; Attack Sensing & Warning; Vulnerability Assessments; and Network Attack Diagnostics.


APPRENTICE
Global Network OPS Technician
Monitor, Collect, and Report information and conduct actions in direct support of Computer Network Operations worldwide in support of Navy, National Security Agency, and Department of Defense, national and theater level missions.  Duties include Network Target Development, Indications and Warning (I&W), Attack Sensing and Warning (AS&W), Software Analysis, Defensive Information Operations (DIO), and Blue and Red Team functions in support of Fleet Computer Network Vulnerability Assessments (CNVA).


JOURNEYMAN
Global Network OPS Manager
Manages Monitoring, Collecting, and Reporting information and conduct actions in direct support of Computer Network Operations worldwide in support of Navy, National Security Agency, and Department of Defense, national and theater level missions.  Duties include Network Target Development, Software Analysis and Development, Access/Attack Operations, Indications and Warning (I&W), Attack Sensing and Warning (AS&W), Defensive Information Operations (DIO), and Blue and Red Team functions in support of Fleet Computer Network Vulnerability Assessments (CNVA).


MASTER
Global Network OPS Director
Directs Monitoring, Collecting, and Reporting information and conduct actions in direct support of Computer Network Operations worldwide in support of Navy, National Security Agency, and Department of Defense, national and theater level missions.  Duties include IO Cell defensive planning, Network Target Development, Software Analysis and Development, Access/Attack Operations, Indications and Warning (I&W), Attack Sensing and Warning (AS&W), Defensive Information Operations (DIO), and Blue and Red Team functions in support of Fleet Computer Network Vulnerability Assessments (CNVA).

DETAILING TIPS

*PRD Extension, Special Programs Screening, Spouse Co-location, and any other personnel requests must be submitted 12-10 months prior to your PRD.

*CMS/ID Application Tips:

Contact CMS/ID Help Desk at your 10 month mark to have your account enabled.  After 30 days of no activity, your CMS/ID account will be disabled.

Submit applications each month.  Sailors are eligible to be directed to a billet in their first month of negotiation.  Ref: NAVADMIN 226/12
