IRR Correspondence Course Process

REQUIRED PROCESS FOR CORRESPONDENCE COURSE CREDIT (IRR MEMBERS ONLY)
Submit course completion certificates along with Rate/Rank and Full Name to PERS-93 via email: IRR_Courses@navy.mil, fax: 901-874-2363, or mail:

IAW MILPERSMAN 1820-050: "One point per 4 hours of authorized non-resident instruction successfully completed. Courses must be on the Secretary of the Navy approved list of courses maintained by COMNAVRESFORCOM, Training and Education Department (N7). Retirement point credit for courses will be given only one time for the same course. Duplicate credit is not authorized."
**If submitting via email, submit completion certificates together in ONE attachment**
You will receive an email notification stating that your courses have been received and once again when your courses have been submitted to PERS-912 for point record entry.
PERS-912 Points and Retirement section remains to be the awarding authority after initial screening by PERS-93. PERS-912 has a processing time of 180 days until the points reflect in your record. The point value will be awarded based off of the listing ONLY.

What do I do if I am missing Correspondence Courses on my Annual Retirement Point Record?
If the courses are not credited within 210 days, call NPC Customer Service at 1-866-827-5672 and ask to speak with PERS-912 for questions concerning the crediting of courses into your points record.
