USG Translation and Interpretation Workshops

 

Language-specific workshops provide practical language-specific training in translation or consecutive interpretation between the foreign language and English.  These workshops are open to Active Duty Navy personnel working in the Intelligence Community

Oct    7 -  9  Intro Chinese T

Oct  20 - 24 Train the CI Trainer

Nov 18 - 20 Intermediate Arabic T

Dec   9 - 11 Intermediate Korean T

                                            New to JKO - Operational Swahili


Operational Swahili teaches operational language and cultural skills needed to successfully complete a typical Civil Affairs mission while operating in the East African countries of Kenya and Tanzania. 

The subjects covered include building rapport, meeting local leaders and talking to villagers. 

The course is located under the Culture/Language tab on JKO.
